Cancellation Policy
At My Eco Escape, we understand that plans can change. To ensure a seamless experience for guests and hosts, we have included the terms and conditions of our cancellation policy below.
General Terms
- 1. Effective Date: This policy is effective as of 1st July 2024.
- 2. Applicability: This policy applies to all bookings made through My Eco Escape.
Guest Cancellation Policy
- 1. Free Cancellation Period:
- Guests can cancel their booking for free within 24 hours of booking, provided the check-in date is at least 30 days away.
- 2. Standard Cancellation:
- If a guest cancels more than 30 days before the check-in date, they will receive a full refund of the booking amount, minus any service fees.
- If a guest cancels between 15 days before the check-in date, they will receive a 50% refund of the booking amount, minus any service fees.
- Cancellations made less than 15 days before the check-in date are non-refundable.
- 3. Non-Refundable Bookings:
- Some properties may offer a discounted rate for non-refundable bookings. These bookings cannot be cancelled or modified; no refunds will be issued.
Host Cancellation Policy
- 1. Host-Initiated Cancellations:
- The guest will receive a full refund if a host cancels a booking. The host may be subject to a cancellation fee and penalties, including but not limited to temporary suspension from the platform.
- 2. Mitigating Circumstances:
- Hosts may be able to cancel without penalty in cases of severe weather, natural disasters, or other significant unforeseen events.
Force Majeure
- 1. Unforeseen Events:
- In the event of natural disasters, pandemics, government travel restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, My Eco Escape will assess the situation and provide appropriate options, including refunds, rescheduling, or credits.
Modifications
- 1. Changes to Booking:
- Guests wishing to modify their booking dates or other details should contact My Eco Escape customer service. Changes are subject to availability and the host’s approval.
Refund Process
- 1. Refund Timeline:
- Refunds will be processed within ten business days of the cancellation request. The amount will be credited back to the original payment method used during booking.
